FAQ

What is Plan and Trade?
– Plan and Trade provides real-time stock market commentary and technical analysis via screen share on thousands of different securities.

What makes Plan and Trade different than other services out there?
– Through our emphasis on live technical analysis conducted by a real-money trader, subscribers have the autonomy to make their own trading decisions. We maintain a professional trading environment that aims to remove the root cause of failure in day trading. Moreover, we stand out as one of the rare services that provide an all day live stream for the entire market duration, enabling you to get the most from the service no matter your schedule. We offer this through industry leading software that allows you to see exactly what we see whether you are on a computer, a phone or tablet. For more information about Plan and Trade, read our about page.

How did you come up with your pricing?
– We’ve structured our pricing to stand out as highly competitive, especially when compared to services that provide significantly less value in terms of real-money trading experience, duration of services (we stream our charts live with audio all day!) and technology features. Plan and Trade includes everything a trader needs in order to capitalize in the markets.

When was this service created?
Plan and Trade made its debut in late 2023. Before that, our trading commentary was exclusively available to hundreds of traders over several years in one of the largest day trading education platforms. Looking ahead to today, we’re on a mission to ‘build better traders’ through screen sharing and live audio, offering subscribers insight into our trading thought process.

How do I sign up?
– At Plan and Trade, we provide a single low-cost monthly subscription option, as this approach motivates us to consistently strive for your continued business. By not offering an expensive annual plan, we help keep your trading education expenses as affordable as possible. Additionally, with no special plans for people who can afford to pay more, we can focus on serving all of our subscribers equally. You can click here to subscribe. Please remember, the sole method to subscribe to Plan and Trade is exclusively through this website. We will never solicit payment via email, text message, direct message on social media platforms, or phone calls.

How frequently do you stream, and how often do you anticipate being offline?
– The Plan and Trade live stream operates every weekday starting in pre-market until the market close, or as long as the action persists. We are closed for all U.S. federal holidays, corresponding with the closure of the stock exchange. Additionally, we aim to offer traders a dependable service with nearly 100% uptime. To increase transparency, we’ve created a public status page to keep our subscribers updated on the availability of our services.

Do you sell technical indicator packages?
– No and we caution against “custom trading strategies,” “automated trading systems,” “advanced technical indicators,” or a “holy grail.”

Anything else to be cautious of?
– When evaluating a trading education service, consider a few important things. See how the business is managed and whether the person running it has good morals and ethics that puts subscribers first. We tend to be cautious of the following:

  • Publishing stock charts with entry or exit arrows, which can be manipulated
  • The promotion of large profits and losses or broker statements, all of which can be altered
  • Services that allow traders to upload their “verified profits” and outputs “trader statistics” can be completely fabricated
  • Live trading which may be conducted on a simulator using paper money or recap videos that can be doctored in post-production
  • Long sign-up pages, videos that you can’t fast forward, text-message alerts, waitlists, give-aways, raffles or lifetime memberships
  • A focus on social media influencing rather than trading education: Is the person a Youtube entertainer or a trader?
  • Sharing charts that are taken on a mobile device (the person is likely at work and not trading at their computer)
  • Any pitch of guaranteed trading profits, a return of your investment or profit sharing
  • Heavy promotion of affiliate linking that direct traders to fund an account
  • Any service not based in the U.S.
  • Any forex or futures service
  • All off-shore brokers

Why can’t I find Plan and Trade on Discord?
– During the development of Plan and Trade, we decided not to use Discord because its technical capabilities didn’t match our requirements. While Discord gained its initial popularity among gamers and experienced another surge during the crypto boom, we felt it was wrong to charge subscribers for a platform that didn’t meet our expectations.

Do you offer educational courses or recorded classes?
– If you’re a subscriber, participating in our live stream offers you an opportunity to experience similar educational benefits as a technical charting course, but in real-time. With daily sessions, our subscribers can regularly experience new scenarios simply by being present. We’ve kept our service competitively priced, passing on the savings to you rather than offering other content that increases the cost. For traders who want comprehensive day trading courses, we do have an option that we can recommend.

Do you cater to long traders or short sellers?
– Despite having a bull incorporated into the company logo, both long and short-biased traders should find value from our service due to the fact that technical analysis is unbiased. Additionally, we are very factual with our trading analysis, which benefits everyone.

Do you think being a full time day trader is realistic?
– We believe that traders who have additional sources of income, be it from a spouse, a job, or passive income streams, is more practical. Having a safety net becomes crucial when times become challenging, which is bound to happen if you engage in trading for long enough. Relying solely on trading can significantly impede your chances of success. A more realistic objective, in our opinion, is to aim for trading to help supplement your overall earnings.

Are you a professional trader?
– By legal definition, no. It’s important to understand why. A retail trader is essentially a non-professional market participant, someone who trades their own money but isn’t paid to do so for a living. On the other hand, professional traders are registered or qualified with organizations like the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or the Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). They might also be investment advisors or work for banks. Professional traders may trade other people’s money, have fiduciary duties, and often hold securities licenses or certifications. Regardless of one’s level of experience or expertise, there is always more to learn and understand about the complexities of trading, markets and human emotions.

What are your thoughts on growing a small account?
– Growing a small account the traditional way poses challenges. Trading with a small account is even more challenging, particularly while you’re still learning about the market. Setting oneself up for success involves overcoming the limitations small accounts face compared to larger ones. Nevertheless, it’s essential to remember that even with a big account, success isn’t guaranteed.

What is the criteria to be a trading moderator?
– We are always on the lookout for experienced traders. Although this requirement may seem excessive in other services, we consider an experienced trader as someone who has thousands of hours of real-money day trading experience (example: You have traded on average 4 hours per day over 252 trading days per year for several years) and have a least 3 consecutive years of verified trading profits that cumulatively exceed six figures. Our formula puts more weight on a trader who is consistent over several years vs a trader who gets lucky or has a big gain in any one year. A moderator at Plan and Trade must live in the U.S.

Is Plan and Trade on social media?
– We believe we should be trading and helping our subscribers first and foremost. Currently, our participation is limited to X, formerly Twitter. Our activities there are not always market related and should not be misconstrued as a representation of the services we offer on our website. Due to the proliferation of fraudulent company social media profiles, which are often created to deceive and defraud unsuspecting people of their money, we are not likely to expand our efforts unless we see a reason to do so. Note that our account has been dormant since 2009 and re-activated in 2022. None of the posts there constitute investment advice.

Do you support any charities?
– We have committed to contributing up to 2% of our revenue to support local charitable causes. We opt to back local organizations, as we believe our support can have a more profound effect at the community level rather than on a national scale. Additionally, we can monitor our impact and ensure there are actual results.

What is the cancelation and refund policy?
– When you subscribe, your monthly payment is non-refundable. However, you have the flexibility to opt out of renewal for the following month. We maintain this non-refundable policy because we believe that learning technical analysis requires dedicated time and a fair opportunity to evaluate our service. To cancel without logging into the dashboard, click here to cancel.

If I cancel and re-join in the future, can I get my original subscription rate?
– We aim to provide incentives for our loyal early subscribers, so if you decide to cancel, we won’t be able to maintain your initial or discounted rate.

Is there anything else I should read on your website?
