TD Ameritrade API Team Updates on Das Trader-Schwab Integration

Traders who use the DAS API integration for ThinkorSwim have been waiting a very long time for an official update regarding the new integration into Schwab. All of the active trader accounts will be transfered by May of 2024 and as someone who has used ThinkorSwim for more than a decade, I have been annoyed by the lack of official communication about this important integration that hundreds if not thousands of traders rely on every day.

Earlier this week, I asked for an update directly to TD’s API team and they told me that they are currently working with DAS trader (and others) for review, approval and integration into the Schwab Trader API end point. That worried me until they said that TD is in the process of finalizing the API documentation to DAS Trader so that they can do the technical integration into Schwab. They did not provide any other updates other than that.

So, the good news is that they’re working on it, but it also means DAS Trader has less than 3 months to do the integration and test.
